Yes — every oyster contains a genuine natural pearl. No synthetic pearls, no guarantees on size or color, which is what makes the reveal so exciting. Pearls can range from round to oval to baroque in shape, and from white to cream to gold in color. Occasional pink or lavender pearls turn up too.
Absolutely! Kids love the oyster shucking experience — it's like a treasure hunt with a guaranteed prize. We guide guests of all ages through the process safely. Little ones may need a hand from mom or dad with the shucking tool, but they can fully participate in the reveal.
Walk-ins are always welcome when we have availability. However, especially during peak Gulf Shores vacation season (summer weekends, spring break, Thanksgiving, Christmas), booking ahead is strongly recommended so we can reserve your oyster and give you the full experience. You can book online through GlossGenius in under 2 minutes.
The full pearl reveal + necklace setting experience takes approximately 20–30 minutes. If you're also booking permanent jewelry, we can do both in a single visit — plan for about 45–60 minutes total.
Yes! Groups are welcome and we love doing oyster experiences for bachelorette parties, birthday groups, and family vacations. For groups of 6 or more, please book a private event so we can ensure we have enough oysters and time reserved for everyone. See our Private Events page for details.
