Most ear piercings happen at mall kiosks or big-box stores. Ours happen in a curated, intimate studio where every detail — the lighting, the jewelry selection, the process — is designed for a luxurious, comfortable experience.
We pierce with the Studex® System 75, an FDA-registered piercing device built for exactly this. Every piercing uses a sterile, single-use disposable cartridge, and the device itself never touches your skin — the only thing that makes contact is the pre-sterilized earring sealed inside that cartridge.

Ear Piercing FAQ
We pierce with the Studex® System 75 — an FDA-registered piercing device. It's hand-pressure operated, which gives our piercer full control over placement, and it uses a sterile, single-use disposable cartridge for every piercing. The device never touches your skin: the pre-sterilized earring is delivered straight from its sealed cartridge, then the cartridge is discarded. Nothing is reused between clients.
Most clients describe a quick pinch — nothing more. Lobe piercings are considered among the least painful piercings you can get, and it's over in a second. Our team is trained to help nervous clients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process, and we're used to working with children.
We pierce children of any age for standard lobe piercings — the Studex system is gentle enough for babies and toddlers. A parent or legal guardian must be present and provide written consent for all minors (under 18).
Lobe piercings typically heal in 6–8 weeks with proper aftercare. We send you home with an aftercare solution and a Studex care card, and we'll walk you through the cleaning routine before you leave. The one rule that matters most: never touch a fresh piercing with unwashed hands. For everything else — cleaning frequency, when you can change earrings — follow the care card, and call us any time if you're unsure.
We recommend waiting 24–48 hours before swimming after a fresh piercing, and avoiding saltwater and chlorinated pools for the first 2 weeks if you can. If you do swim sooner, rinse the piercing thoroughly and clean it right afterward. Many of our Gulf Shores vacationers plan their piercing for near the end of the trip so there's less water to work around.
All initial piercings use pre-sterilized Studex starter studs in surgical stainless steel — a high-purity, hypoallergenic metal made for sensitive ears and fresh piercings. Each stud arrives sealed inside its own single-use cartridge and is never handled before it goes in. Once your piercing is fully healed, come back and we'll upgrade you to gold-filled or solid gold from the boutique.
